Our Herds strength
was emphasized by an marvellous average of over £3,500 for the
31 lots we had on offer. 18 cows in calf or with calves at foot
averaged £3,575, 7 served heifers were at £3,480 and 5 maiden
heifers equated to £3,507.
The top price of 8,000 gns was for Grahams Trudy, a
two-and-a-half year old served heifer out of our Senior Herd
Sire Grahams Poncho and dam Guerriere and in-calf to Waindale
Prime. She's off to the Rosecroft Herd of Mr & Mrs DK Wheeler,
Goodiford Mill, Kentisbeare, Cullompton, Devon. Grahams Tulip
another in-calf heifer but by Tomy also sold to The Wheelers
this time for 5,800 gns
Grahams Tulip was Limousin and Interbreed Champion at the Drymen
Show 2004 and is out of Pipmanie by Grahams Poncho. Parade, a
March 1999 born third calver out of Joviale and sired by Illegal
along with her bull calf at foot Grahams Vulcan, by Poncho went
to an undisclosed buyer for 7,200gns. 7,200gns was also the
price paid by I Wilkinson of the Redstroke Herd, Baldarroch
Farm, Murthly, Perth for Sage, a March 2001 born first calver
out of Laps and by Lascive. Offered with bull calf Grahams
Unicorn at foot and in calf to Samy, this was another fantastic
outfit. Grahams Rene went to Grahams Agricultural, Meadow Lea
Farm, Mickle Trafford, Chester for 6,000gns. Out of Feuille and
sired by Logis she is a second-calver with bull calf at foot,
Grahams Ulisses, the first bull calf by Grahams Samson to go on
sale from the Grahams Herd. |
