PARIS CHAMPION JOINS FLOCK

During a recent trip to Paris in February, Robert Graham visited the Paris show where he saw the champion Berrichon tup, he was so impressed with its size and scope he decided to buy him. Click here for pictures of the Champion.

He joins Grahams Strathallan flock which was founded in 1993 and has had considerable show success including Royal Highland Show champions in both 1994 and 1996 . After several years of not showing Robert decided to enter a few sheep in the Royal Highland 2003 where he won Reserve Junior Male and Reserve Junior Female.

Our twenty females are going to be joined by five French gimmers bought from Louis-Jean Laine, president of the French Berrichon Du Cher Sheep society.

In January 2003 Robert was voted president of the U.K. Berrichon sheep society. He says his mission is to promote the qualities of the breed particularly highlighting the top quality of  their carcasses and high growth rate.

Furthering the "Entente Coriale" Robert was asked to judge at the Paris show. After the judging he was Royally entertained by the French Breeders, joining in their champagne and lunch party, but just to prove there is no such thing as a free lunch, he was then asked to give a speech explaining his reasons as to how he judged the classes.
