| Grahams Butterfly | ||||
| The
Overall Reserve Supreme Championship, along with the Female
Championship and award for Best Cow went to our five-year-old
cow Grahams Butterfly. No stranger to the Royal Highland Show
ring, Grahams Butterfly had previously lifted the Overall
Supreme award as a maiden heifer back in 2007 with this year
being the first time she had been shown since then. Grahams
Butterfly is by the Graham’s famous and prolific stock bull Samy,
himself a multi-title show winner, and is out of the Grahams
Poncho sired Grahams Trendy. Butterfly was shown with her
February 2011 born bull calf Grahams Goldenfly, by Grahams
Unbeatable, at foot. Capping another fine show for the Grahams herd, Grahams Butterfly went on to be a member of the winning Limousin Interbreed Team of Four held on the Saturday morning. Of his Overall Reserve Champion, William Cowx said; “this is a tremendous upstanding, long, clean cow. She is of great breed type and is a good wearing cow. Medium to large in size she is a typical stylish Limousin female.” Commenting on the overall on judging the show and the Limousin cattle forward. |
